吴冠中爱画船，主要由于视觉美的吸引。孤舟、舟群、帆起帆落、绳索交错、桅杆倒卧起伏、线缠绕着面、手忙脚乱的渔民。色彩的斑驳，都给予画家尽情挥写的大好时机。
